EMERLD about „Gamay“: „I've been making beats in my spare time for years now. As a chef, spare time is very rare and making music is a kind of therapy for me and perfect to chill out after a stressful day at work. I believe there are many similiarites between cooking food and "cooking" beats: Without good ingredients you can't make good food. Without sourcing the right sounds and samples, and selecting instruments that compliment each other like spices in a curry, you can‘t make a good track. Finding that perfect balance of sweet, sour, salty and spicy is just as delicate as mixing a track.I apply this process to all of my creative work. „Gamay“ is at least to my ears, a perfectly seasoned and well balanced mix, with a little bit of umami for good measure.“
